Amy E. Davis, Esquire

Amy came to the Northeast Kingdom in 2015 after graduating from Vermont Law School Magna Cum Laude and passing the Vermont Bar Exam. She has worked in a variety of cases including divorce, parentage, adoption, juvenile, criminal, and probate. Prior to opening Davis Legal Solutions, PLLC, Amy worked for the public defender’s office handling the child protection, juvenile justice, and youthful offender cases in Orleans, Caledonia, and Essex Counties. Amy takes pride in her ability to collaborate with numerous players in the legal system to help clients achieve a just outcome. Amy lives in Danville with her husband, son, and menagerie of animals.

Samuel J. Swope, Esquire

After serving as Town Clerk and Town Treasurer for the Town of Guildhall, Vermont, Sam read for the law under Attorney Laura Wilson, completing the program in February of 2019. Upon receiving his Vermont law license in November 2019, Sam worked for the Caledonia County public defender’s office handling a wide variety of criminal matters, from misdemeanors to serious felonies. He joined Davis Legal Solutions in 2022, focusing on criminal law and landlord/tenant issues. Sam excels at legal research and writing, client-attorney interaction, appropriate courtroom decorum and behavior, and knowledge of Vermont criminal law. Sam lives in Guildhall with his wife and son on their farm.

Jennifer Cleveland, Esquire

Jennifer, a native of northern Maine, earned a bachelor's of arts in mass communications from the University of Maine at Orono in 1998. After relocating to the Northeast Kingdom in 1999, Jen was co-editor at the Barton Chronicle for ten years, followed by a stint as a staff writer at the Caledonian-Record. After covering court for five years, she began the Vermont four-year law office study, completing the study in 2021 under Attorney David Sleigh. She was admitted to the Vermont Bar on March 17, 2022. Her practice areas include criminal defense, relief from abuse cases, and expungements. She lives in Barton with her husband, Kirk.

Brandon Sheffert, Esquire

Brandon is a Vermont native who received a B.S. in chemistry and a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Buffalo. Following his graduation, he attended Vermont Law School where he received academic excellence awards in Professional Responsibility and Intellectual Property. He also served as the Articles Editor for the Vermont Law Review where he published an article entitled, “Assisted Suicide: Is There a Right to Die With Dignity or Only a Duty to Live in Pain?” Brandon joined Davis Legal Solutions in 2023 where he handles criminal matters in Caledonia County. He lives in Richmond, Vermont and enjoys fishing.
